From what I understand is that the author sold his exclusive script adapting rights twice for two separate periods.

1. The first time period was from 2003 up to end of 2006, to a company in Taiwan called Rui Feng.

The deadline of 2006.12.31 only applied to the script adaptation. There is no time limit on when the adapted script is made into a TV series. The script was adapted before the deadline but the adapted script was never made into a TV series until FBB's company bought the adapted script and started filming from December of 2008.

2. In May of 2008, the author sold the TV adapting rights to another company in Taiwan. This company plans to shoot the TV series in the fall of 2009. FBB's edition of Jin Da Ban is a big-budget production, so in Sep. of 2008 her company asked some law experts in China to check whether they have the rights to shoot the TV series. The law experts say both have the legal rights to shoot their TV series.

The author thinks that FBB's version is illegal because FBB's company has never contacted him.

But FBB's company did not buy the rights to adapt his short story. They bought the rights to make a TV series based on an adapted script which was finished before the contract deadline.

A forum in baidu has posted some unpublished photos from the TV series, including Zai's.

Besides posting photos of Zai riding a bike while he wasn't filming, the blogger, Xiao Ruan, wrote about some scenes shot during the day she worked as an extra.

In the afternoon:

1. Yue Ru got into an argument with Jin Zhao Liang (Jin Da Ban's brother).

This is the scene in the picture she posted in which Zai was not riding a bike.

By the way, Jin Da Ban's real name is Jin Zhao Li.

2. Jin Da Ban went to the Paramount Dancing Hall to work.

At night:

1. Waiting outside the Paramount Dancing Hall, Yue Ru tried to ask someone to take flowers to Jin Da Ban but wasn't able to.

2. One of the supporting actresses got drunk.

3. Yue Ru got into an argument with several guests and was bitterly beaten. Jin Da Ban came out and took care of the matter.

4. Yue Ru awkwardly gave the flowers to Jin Da Ban. Both laughed happily.

5. From that point on, all the filming was about Yue Ru and Jin Da Ban. They looked sweet together. They continued filming until 11:30 p.m.

FBB's English teacher was there, too. He or she speaks Chinese fluently and liked to take pictures of the extras.

She woke up at 5 a.m. and got home at 1:30 a.m., i.e. 20 hours later.

Her feelings are it's hard work, exhaustive, and tough to be an extra. It was cold and she was trembling since she played a dancing girl in qi pao.

Even though she left her number for contact at the end of the day, she writes she will not go back to work as an extra if the crew contacts her.

It's officially in the news now.

Zai is wrapping up his filming in the TV series.

He's leaving Shanghai.

Another fan says that these photos were actually taken on 2009.01.14.

Zaizai must be very happy. After working hard for more than 1 month in Shanghai, now he can go back to Taiwan to celebrate lunar new year with his family.

laiou, Thank you very much for all the updates and translations.. I visit the Chinese sections but can't understand them very well.. It's really great to have this english section coz it allows fans from all over the world to know what's the latest on Zai Zai.. Zai zai is such a gentleman.. I'm glad he can have some rest, now that he has wrapped up his filming... At least he can have time to rest before he starts his promotional activities for Black and White
